Holiday Wreath Contest
Begins Wednesday, November 15
Pick up a wreath form starting on the 15th. Decorate it for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Years, Winter Solstice, or any other winter celebration, then bring it back to the library by November 29th. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 13th. You could win a $25 Wegmans gift card!

Crafts for Seniors:  Cranberries Necklace
Friday, November 10 at 11:00 am
Craft and chat with other seniors!  We're making necklaces out of wooden cranberry beads and a bit of silver. For adults 50+.  Registration is required.

Bake an autumn side dish then bring it with the recipe.  Sample everyone's offerings while you discuss autumn sides!  For adults 18+.  Registration is required.

Story Time Kit
Each month, Miss Monica prepares a Storytime Kit to go along with that month’s storytime themes. Each kit contains: one coloring page for each week, with songs and rhymes to go with the weekly theme; a sticker, and a monthly craft.  To pick up a kit, stop by the library or set up a Curbside Pickup appointment by calling us at 315-454-4524.  Recommended for ages 3-6.

Take-Home Craft Kit

Children's Programs

The Salina Library Presents: Blast Off to Kindergarten!
Looking for a fun, simple, and inexpensive way to bond with your young child and get him/her ready for school? Let's READ!
When you first sign up for Blast Off to Kindergarten, you receive a bag with information on how to help your child prepare for Kindergarten as well as a folder with your first reading sheet. Whenever you read a book to your child, color in one of the pictures on the sheet. When it's all filled in, bring it to the circulation desk to receive your next sheet and a sticker. Completing certain sheets means earning an extra prize! Each child who completes the program will receive a free book and certificate!
 
Early Learners Story Time
Wednesdays, 11:00 AM – November 8, 15, 22, & 29
Make learning fun! Your child will learn important early literacy and social skills with stories, rhymes, and songs, in a setting appropriate to their needs. No registration is required. For children ages 2-4 years old, with accompanying adult.

Join in the fun at this popular music and movement class for toddlers and preschool-aged children! This program is made possible through a grant from the Literacy Coalition of Onondaga County. Registration is required.
