Reptile Day with Archie's Angels

Explore the world of reptiles and their care with Archie's Angels, the fantastic group
who helped us adopt our bearded dragon! Registration required; one registration

Library Memory Project Family Day
at Retzer Nature Center

Those living with memory loss, their care partners, and families are invited to attend our free family-friendly outing.

  • Friday: 9 am-5 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am-5 pm
  • Sunday: 1-4 pm

The Library building will be closed to the public on the following Fridays for staff training and collection improvement:

Library staff are investing time now so you can benefit later, with improved services, faster checkouts, and enhanced safety and security.

BIRTH - PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS (AGES 0-5)
Storytimes
  • Registration is required for each 6-week session. 
  • Families must be able to attend at least
    four of six dates. 
  • Limit two adults and five children per registration. 
  • One registration per family per session.

Let's talk about books AND ruin your dinner! Tie on your aprons and bring a book to discuss. The Library will provide the recipe in advance, and we will bake and share book recommendations together over Zoom. Registration is required to receive Zoom link via email. 
 
Writer Café

Sharpen your wits, words, and writing skills with other teen authors! Meet over beverages, share your writing, and support each other through writer's block. Registration is required.
 
 
 
Gaming Group
Thursday, September 16 l 6-7:30 pm
Pop in for gaming at the Library, including (but never limited to) Jackbox, Magic the Gathering, video games, and a variety of board and card games! Snacks and beverages included. Registration is required. 
 
Create Crates

Swing by the Teen Space and grab one of our Create Crates, boxes filled with everything you will need to make
a fun mini-craft! 
Teen Book Group - Library Trolls
Monday, September 20 l 4-5 pm
Discuss genres, tropes, and favorite characters while enjoying the companionship of fellow readers. No required reading allowed! Registration is required. 
 
Crafting Circle - Book Binding

Calling teen crafters! Meet up and share a craft or art project you're currently working on, or check out a new craft with all supplies and materials provided
by the Library. Registration is required.
Teen Advisory Board

Plan teen programs and displays at the library while enjoying snacks. Earn volunteer hours AND have fun!

Anime & Cosplay Club

Chat with like-minded anime fans and cosplayers! This is a low-key gathering where ALL levels of fandom can interact without judgment. Games, activities, and crafts included! Registration is required. 
 
Library Memory Café

We're all one year older and sweeter! Let's celebrate a year's worth of birthdays with games, activities, and treats! The Lake Country Library Memory Project is a monthly social gathering for those with early-stage dementia or mild cognitive impairment and a care partner. Fiber Arts Circle
