Dear friends,

I have some bittersweet news to share: Soon, I will be leaving my position of Director of the Oconomowoc Public Library. My last day here will be Monday, April 24. I will not be going all that far, as my new position is at the Brookfield Public Library. The decision to end my time here was not easy, because I love this Library and this community so much.

It has been my honor to serve you for the past 15 years. As my time here draws to a close, I want to thank you for welcoming me with open arms and hearts in 2008, when I rolled into town to be your Children’s Librarian. Your warmth, passion for library services, and friendship continued when I transitioned to the role of Library Director in 2014, all the way to my last days here in 2023.

You are in great hands, because the Library staff are the most patron-focused, creative, kind, hardworking, and fun team a community could hope to have at their Library. Please let me know of any questions, or stop by to visit before I go!

Thank you for a terrific run,
Betsy Bleck
