Library programs, events, and activities are free and open

to the public, but some may require registration.

Summer Library Program

Our Summer Library Program

ends August 5! 

Don’t forget to complete your reading logs in Beanstack or turn your paper logs in to the Library. All reading must be logged and earned tickets entered into the prize drawings of your choice by the end of the day on Saturday, August 5.  

Summer Reading Room Hours 

Monday-Thursday: 10 am-6 pm • Saturday: 9 am-1 pm

Programs & Events

Library programs, events, and activities are free and open to the public, but some may require registration. A waiting list is available if registration is full.

FAMILY (ALL AGES)

Young People, Big Voices

Ends August 5

Each Monday, we will hide a picture of a young activist somewhere in the children’s area. Kids who find it can fill out a slip available in the Summer Reading Room with the name of the activist and t-shirt size.

Dance Class

Dance Class with Artistic Edge Dance Centre

Monday, August 7 • 2-3 pm

Plie! Pirouette! Jazz hands! Learn some ballet and jazz dance basics with students from the Artistic Edge Dance Centre.

Kid's Fest

Tuesday, August 8 • 9 am-1 pm

Join the fun and come see what local organizations, including the Library, have to offer your family and our community! Enjoy games, entertainment,music, inflatables, arts & crafts, food, giveaways, and more!

Shorehaven Storytime

Shorehaven Storytime

Friday, August 25 • 10-11 am

At Shorehaven

Join the library in an event of caring and sharing with our friends at Shorehaven! This intergenerational storytime will feature plenty of moving, shaking, singing, and reading, all in the spirit of being together in our community. This month's storytime will be outdoors and features a foam machine! Plan to pack a towel and a change of clothes.

3:30-4:30 pm

Build reading confidence by practicing with Louie the Pug. One registration per family.
