Participate on Beanstack online or the Beanstack app. Track reading and log activities to earn books, coupons, and tickets for prize drawings. Paper logs are available in the Summer Reading Room upon request.

Big Community Read Finding Dorothy by Elizabeth Letts

To help celebrate the Summer of Oz, the Oconomowoc Public Library is having a Big Community Read. If you received a free Big Read copy from the Library, please share the book with friends and family members or return it to the Library for us to share with someone new! Copies are also available in our catalog. Join us for a community discussion and virtual visit with the author on August 6 at 6 pm at the Library.

Friends of the Oconomowoc Public Library

Volunteers will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win one of three handmade quilts and a set of adorable crocheted Oz characters created to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the world premiere of The Wizard of Oz. All items were handmade by local crafters! Proceeds go to the Friends of the Oconomowoc Public Library. This raffle is completely run by volunteers and tickets cannot be sold by Library staff. Friends of OPL plan to sell tickets on Saturday mornings during the Farmers Market and Wednesday evenings before the Legion concerts from now until the drawing on August 14.

Mysterious Creatures of Wisconsin - From Bigfoot to Vampires

Wednesday, July 31 • 6-7 pm

Chad Lewis shares his on-site investigations, from the Bigfoot of the north woods and the lake monster of Lake Pepin to phantom chickens and Hellhounds roaming rural WI. Filled with witness drawings, eye-witness testimony, weird photos, and bizarre sound clips, this presentation brings the investigation right to the audience.

Let's celebrate the 85th anniversary of the film The Wizard of Oz with art making, music, and trivia!

The Lake Country Library Memory Project is a monthly social gathering for those with early-stage dementia or mild cognitive impairment and a care partner. Visit librarymemoryproject.org for more information.
