It is not to late to begin the Summer Reading challenge! You can still sign-up to participate on the ReadSquared app here.
 
You can begin claiming your Summer Reading Prizes in July!
Log on to READsquared, find the prize store, browse the prizes, and "buy" a prize of your choosing for 250 points!
Prizes will be prepared one time each week. Any orders in by Wednesday evening will be available for pick up inside LTPL on Friday morning!

Upcoming Red Cross Blood Drive
The next Red Cross Blood Drive is coming up at LTPL on Tuesday, July 30, from 10:00am-4:00pm.
 
Donors of all blood types are needed! Donors should drink plenty of water the day before their donation.

All donors who come to donate blood July 1–31 will get a Fandango Movie Ticket by email – which they can use to see the big-screen thrill ride TWISTERS! Donors who come to give in July will also be automatically entered for a chance to win a 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn® Plus, presenting donors July 1–14 will also get a one-of-a-kind TWISTERS & Red Cross umbrella, while supplies last!

  • New or struggling readers in grades 1-5 are invited to sign up for a 15-minute "Paws for Reading" session with our local certified therapy dogs. Dogs are excellent listeners! The goal is to provide a non-judgmental atmosphere in which kids can read without correction or interruption and learn not just to read, but to love reading as well.
     
  • A handful of books will be available, but feel free to bring one from home. Each child will have one-on-one reading time.

New Library Updates
LTPL has been hard at work on the plans for your new library! Please have a look at our updated floor plan and draft site plan. We are currently working on coordinating with utility companies, furniture selection, planning for new technologies, and so much more. We will be certain to share more information as soon as we can.
 
The Library Board and staff are thankful to our team - Quinn Evans Architects, Civil Engineering Solutions and Frank Rewold & Sons- for their dedication to the project.

Do you love reading, books and libraries? Help out our Friends' group!

What you can do:
  1. Volunteer to organize all of the donations that are dropped off to the library
  2. Assist in setting up the annual book sales 3 or 4x a year
  3. Volunteer to run the book sales
  4. Help recruit new Friends to the group
  5. Share ideas for special events to fund raise and support the library!
