- A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, covering the view of the Sun from earth. Monday, April 8, 2024 will be one of the best chances many of us have to see a total solar eclipse in our lifetimes!
- Lyon Township will experience 98.4% totality. That means the sun will be almost completely blocked by the Moon!
- It is not safe to look at the eclipse (or the sun) without officially rated Solar Eclipse Glasses, but lucky for you, we have glasses to give away!
- So that as many families as possible have the chance to get glasses, there will be a limit 2 pair per family.
- Stop by the front desk anytime before the eclipse and ask for them!
