New Library Updates
The new library project Site Plan was approved by the Lyon Township Planning Commission at the July 9, 2024 meeting. The project Site Plan was also approved by the Lyon Township Board at the Wednesday, August 7, 2024 meeting. There was also a resolution passed before the Township Board at the same meeting regarding the sale of the bonds, which will fund the project (approved by Lyon Township voters in November of 2022).

The construction project is out to bid! Once our Construction management team receives bids back they can conduct interviews, then submit a construction package to the Library Board. The Library Board can then approve the construction package and the final budget at the LTPL board meeting in October.

We will be certain to share more information as soon as we can! Thank you for your continued patience and support.

The Library Board and staff are thankful to our team - Quinn Evans Architects, Civil Engineering Solutions and Frank Rewold & Sons- for their dedication to the new library project!

Visit the Reimagine Your Library page on our website to stay up to date with the latest information as planning progresses.
