- Your summer adventure begins at LTPL when you sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge!
- Read, attend events, participate in activities, earn points, and win prizes.
- Registration opens today, June 1 and the challenge continues through August 31.
- To participate, register your family members in READsquared, where you will be able to track your reading, events, and activities for points.
- Beginning July 1, choose prizes for every 250 points you earn!
- Automatically earn prizes at 500, 750, and 1,000 points.
- The Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration Event will be on Saturday, June 15 from 1-4pm at LTPL!

Saturday, June 15, 1-4pm - Come celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of our Summer Reading Challenge! We'll have live animals and hands-on science activities from Leslie Science and Nature Center, cornhole, inflatable mini curling, giant Connect 4, giant Yardzee, giant checkers, inflatable soccer billiards, glitter tattoo artists, origami, snacks, and a lemonade bar from Biggby! Get the whole family registered for our Summer Reading Challenge on READsquared and have some fun at the library!
- Registration is requested so that we have enough refreshments! Stop by anytime between 1-4pm!

- If kids aged 0-13 fill in the titles of 6 books that they have read on a bookmark, they can get a free carnival ride at The Fair on Friday, July 12.
- If they fill in titles on 2 bookmarks, they can get a free child admission to the Friday Night Grandstand Event Figure 8 Championship on that same day (July 12).
- Each child is allowed to fill in up to 4 bookmarks, so they could get 4 free rides or two free rides and one free admission to the Grandstand.
- You can pick up a bookmark at the circulation desk!

- TALK sends 2-3 text messages with fun activity suggestions each week that parents and caregivers with children 5 and under can do to build school readiness skills.
- TALK, developed by librarians and based on the Every Child Ready to Read program, encourages parents to Read, Write, Sing, Talk, and Play with their little ones daily.
- With TALK you’ll also get occasional text notifications for library storytimes and other free youth events!
