The Friends of the Lyon Township Public Library Book Sale is back on May 19-22!
 
Drop by the Lyon Township Public Library to browse the Friends of LTPL Book Sale, which takes place over four days. Gently used books, DVDs, and audiobooks are available at low prices. Find something for yourself, family, or friends! All proceeds go toward library events, collections, and special projects for our community to enjoy.
 
Book Sale Dates and Hours:
Thursday, May 19, 10am-8:30pm
Friday, May 20, 10am-4:30pm
Saturday, May 21, 10am-4:30pm
Sunday, May 22, 12pm-3:30pm
 
Do you love books, reading, and libraries? Consider joining the Friends of the Lyon Township Public Library as a volunteer and help organize donations, setup for book sales throughout the year, and plan and manage other special events to support the library!

The Library Network has introduced a free new site for libraries and library patrons: Get Tix. With Get Tix, library patrons anywhere in Michigan can purchase discounted tickets on various upcoming events at the best value available anywhere! Ticket availability changes on a regular basis. Currently, there are discounted tickets available for such events as Stars on Ice at Little Caesar's Arena, An American in Paris at the Fox Theatre, New Kids on the Block at Little Caesar's Arena, and much more. Plants on the Move - Container Gardening presentation will provide both the novice or veteran gardener with information regarding the following: Why grow in containers, container considerations, what to grow (flowers, vegetables, small backyard fruits, herbs, perennials, and small shrubs/trees), plant-growth requirements (light, water, fertilizer), tools and potting soil, planting single plant, designing and planting combination containers, maintenance, and design ideas for containers (seasonal, traditional, creative, novelty, etc.) Join us and let’s have some fun!

The Lyon Township Public Library has Chromebooks available for check out! If you're 18 years of age or older, you can take a Chromebook home for up to a week to complete all your computer tasks! Even pair it with a mobile hotspot if you don't have WIFI. Find more information on our Chromebooks here.
