With Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 29th) having just passed and
World Migratory Bird Day coming up (May 14th),
I'd like to share a few relevant titles that are worth checking out.
Written when Attenborough was 93, and reflecting on major events and changes he's witnessed in his lifetime, it's an absorbing plea for us humans to address, and rectify where we can, the ways we've modified the planet.
A book I plan to reread soon, as it is full of so many fascinating details about birds, their physiology in migration, and the places they need for their often unbelievable journeys.
Although I've only started this book, I'm already engrossed and can't wait to pick it up again whenever I have to step away from it. It covers a wide range of topics, from Americans' historical love/hate relationship with an icon, to the biology and incredible survival story of an eagle that lives only in North America.
A great children's book enjoyable by readers of any age. Layered stories of people and other animal characters pulling together to help each other.
