It's Not Just for Checking Out Books!
The most important back-to-school school item is a library card! With access to technology, innovative programming, and educational resources, a library card gives students of all ages the tools to succeed. Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. During the month, the American Library Association and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every child (and adult) signs-up for their own library card. Throughout the month, patrons who sign-up for a new card will be given a little memento at the Main Circulation Desk! Follow us on Facebook for some weekly examples about some of the lesser known uses of your library card!
