All good things must come to an end, including our "All Together Now" 2023 Summer Reading Challenge.
But before we put the prize carts away, there's something we want you to know...
Our 2023 Summer Reading Program was a record-breaking success!
Summer Reading is always our biggest program of the year, but this year we had more participants than ever: 7730!
Over 22,000 people attended our 376 library programs between May 25 and July 30.
The number of people who picked up their incentive prizes jumped from 56% to 82%, proving that our new lanyard and button prizes are much more motivational than any prizes we've offered in the past.
Perhaps most impressive of all, our summer reading participants logged a total of 5,961,329 minutes of reading and 103,785 books. Take that, summer learning loss! |
|
|
As Forsyth County students head back to school this month, we want to thank all the students, parents, teachers, community leaders, and sponsors who participated in and supported Summer Reading at FCPL.
We can't wait to do it again in 2024!
Keep reading for library news, events, and resources that will help you end your summer on a high note. |
