April 2024 News @ FoCo Library

March at Forsyth County Public Library ended on a high note with 607 guests braving the rain to hear Lisa Wingate's spellbinding Forsyth Reads Together presentation about her best-selling novel, Before We Were Yours. The four happy guests above were beyond thrilled to discover they were sitting directly behind Lisa Wingate who was every bit as friendly and delightful as the smiles in this photo.

Now April's here, and we're not fooling around—our libraries are the real deal! From out-of-this-world Spring Break activities for kids to career-boosting eResources for adults, this newsletter will give you a good overview of what's available this month at FoCo Library.

Happy reading!

Denmark Library Update

It was another productive month at the Denmark construction site! During the first part of March, construction teams added roof decking which is now nearly complete. Next up: crews will begin installing the building’s perimeter walls. We also expect the addition of asphalt in April when the temperatures are more moderate. In the photo above, the curb is now complete on the driveway to the pickup window. That's right—we said pickup window! Denmark Library will have a drive-thru window where you can retrieve your holds without having to exit your vehicle. Talk about super-sized library service!

We've updated our riveting time-lapse video and posted it on Facebook. While you're there, please like and follow our new Facebook page, Facebook.com/FoCoLibrary (@FoCoLibrary).
