July news worth a "WOW!" @ FCPL! |
"Miss Lorraine, Miss Lorraine! I earned another button!"
We lost count of the number of times we heard that joyous refrain at a recent Bookmobile stop. Seeing dozens of smiling kids running toward us, sporting their decked out summer reading lanyards and beaming with pride about their latest accomplishments is an experience we won't soon forget. |
One little boy pulled his friend over to us, pointed at his friend's lanyard, and asked, "How do I earn one of these 'Create It!' buttons?"
Eureka! This year's prizes for kids and teens are not only meaningful and motivating, they're also an incredible marketing tool and a lasting memento of summer memories and achievements!
Of course, as seen in these faces, there's so much more to summer reading than just prizes. Summer reading "All Together Now" is an experience participants will treasure long after summer ends.

Denmark Library Update
The Denmark Library project is finally moving forward after a series of delays related to rising construction costs and budget constraints. We're thrilled to share that thanks to additional support from Forsyth County Government and the State of Georgia we now have enough funding to break ground and begin construction on the Fowler Road site later this month.
We'll be sharing regular updates as the project progresses. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for more information as it unfolds.
