Klezmer Musical Performance Sunday, May 1, 2022 3:30 p.m. Sharon Forks Library Celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month with a fun and festive Klezmer performance by our local CBI Klezmer Band! The band will also discuss the history and cultural significance of Klezmer music throughout time and today. Klezmer is a style of folk music that draws upon the traditions of Ashkenazi Judaism and Eastern European folk traditions. The Klezmer genre places heavy emphasis on music for celebrations. This program is recommended for the whole family!

Book Talkers: FCPL's Online Book Club for Adults Wednesday, May 4, 2022 5:00 p.m. Virtual Book Talkers is a virtual book club for adults with no assigned titles. To further FCPL's #WeKnowBooks theme, we invite patrons to attend and share what they have read recently. At FCPL, we know our patrons read a lot, and Book Talkers provides an opportunity for everyone to discuss what they've been reading without the pressure of reading a specific book. Astronomy of Star Wars Wednesday, May 4, 2022 7:00 p.m. Sharon Forks Library GSU Professor Jay Dunn will lead a discussion on the worlds and aliens of the Star Wars films and compare them with the planets and life in our solar system, as well as extra-solar planets. Along the way, we'll enjoy video clips inspired by Star Wars and other sci-fi favorites. This event in intended for middle schoolers, teens, and adults.
