I've been to many library programs in my career at Forsyth County Public Library, but hearing the collective gasp of 223 people upon seeing an owl outstretch its wings just a few feet away has got to be one of my new favorite library memories. And we're only halfway through summer! There's so much more awesomeness yet to come at FCPL before Summer Reading Fun ends on July 31st. Read on to learn about FREE museum and park passes, upcoming featured programs, and how to enter your Summer Reading Fun tickets into our grand prize drawings. "Owl" see you at the library! Recommended Reading: Book Club Favorites
Our featured book list for July is Book Club Favorites. These are the books you can't wait to talk about with your friends! Speaking of book clubs, FCPL offers a variety of monthly opportunities to talk about books. Most of our book clubs meet at our libraries, but we also have a virtual book club and one that meets at Fowler Park to combine an easy walk with an outdoor-related book discussion each month! Whether you're looking to find interesting new books or you want to meet new people and share friendly discussions, we have a book club for you.

FCPL Reads in 2022: July Reading Goal
In honor of Disability Pride Month, the July goal for FCPL Reads in 2022 is to read a book featuring a character with differing abilities. Check out our curated book lists related to this goal for adults, teens, and kids. FCPL Reads in 2022 is a series of monthly reading goals designed to help readers discover new authors, genres, and formats. Travel the world, celebrate other cultures, and celebrate reading! This program runs from January - December 2022 and is for all ages (kindergarten and up). Read at your own pace, choose the goals that interest you, and read them in any order.
