Join our six-week series of Conversational English to practice your reading, listening, and speaking skills. All adult English learners are welcome to attend this FREE conversational English class no matter your country of origin, reading level or citizenship status. Registration is not required.
Local songwriter Bob Lusher will share his techniques for composing original music and crafting lyrics. He will assist participants with creating their own songs. During the final session on August 23, patrons will have the opportunity to perform their songs for the group. Familiarity with basic guitar or keyboard chords is recommended.
Tuesday, August 9:Session One will focus on song structure, chords, lyrics and songwriting methods.
Tuesday, August 23: Session Two will focus on musical arrangements and how to use software to create music.

Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are invited to listen to stories and create simple crafts designed to accommodate a range of abilities. This month we will be reading stories about recycling and will make spinning tops by reusing old CDs and bottlecaps!
