Prepare to Be Amazed This May @ FCPL
|
This might be one of my favorite photos ever taken at a Forsyth County Public Library program! Captured over Spring Break at Post Road Library during one of Magician Arthur Atsma's two high-energy performances, the faces in the crowd speak volumes about what FCPL does for our community. Our Libraries amaze, enlighten, serve, and bring joy to so many with our services, programs, materials, spaces, and helpful staff. It is truly an honor to be a part of this Library system and get to witness the impact we have on our community each day. And now, for some exciting news: Summer Reading Fun is back and better than ever! We'll be sending out a separate email in a couple of weeks with all the details, but get ready for the kind of action-packed, educational, engaging summer at FCPL you remember from years past. (And if you absolutely cannot wait, this month's Unreadable podcast has you covered!) Until then, read on for some of the fabulous things FCPL can do for you this month. Finals and EOCs and AP Exams, oh my! Take a deep breath, we can help. FCPL provides free access to professional subject matter experts through our partnership with Tutor.com. Use your library card seven days a week to connect online with a live tutor from 4:00 - 11:00 p.m. for help with homework and test prep. But don't just take our word for it. Here's what one of our patrons had to say: "My son used Tutor.com to help him prepare for his 9th grade Biology final and it could not have been easier! The tutor answered all his questions and drew examples on the computer screen. Then my son downloaded the transcript of their chat and used it to study. We saw a big improvement in his final grade." - Susan, FCPL patron and mom of WFHS student
