Kids and Teens Library News
April 6
Happy Spring!

Things are blooming outside and we have to be encouraged by the slightest provocation right about now, wouldn't you say?  We hope that, like the great outdoors, the library is providing a measure of comfort right now to you and your families. We want to help you discover, create and connect more than ever. Our online services are blooming as we add new books and services every week. If you need help with any of it or would just like to check in, we are available Monday to Saturday by phone at 250-352-6333 and email at library@nelson.ca.

Family Book Club
Who wants to spend an evening chatting about one of the best books ever (Kate Dicamillo's The Magician's Elephant) and watching a magic show? If that is your idea of a good time, please join us! And be prepared to share a magic trick!
Find the book on our ebook app called Libby. If you haven't read the book, you can still join us!
Any questions? Email Melodie Rae at mstorey@nelson.ca or Sayre at sknight@cbal.org.
This is an initiative of both the Nelson Public Library and Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy - Slocan Valley. Here are the details for connecting.
Harry Potter Hub
J.K. Rowling very kindly launched an online hub for all things Harry Potter. She said: "The teachers, parents, and carers working to keep children's lives as normal and happy as possible while we're all on lockdown deserve a bit of magic." Also, in collaboration with Pottermore Publishing, Overdrive has announced that libraries will have access to the first Harry Potter book (ebook and audiobook and in every language) with no waitlists for the  month of April. Check it out on Libby!
