Automatic library cards for all Clarke and Oconee students!
Are you a student in the Clarke County or Oconee County public school system? That means you've got a special library card you may not even know about! The student PLAY Card is up and running in both counties, which means you can access the whole Athens Regional Library System with just your Student ID number. With this card, you can check out 5 items at a time and you'll have no late fees for 3 months. You can also use your PLAY Card to check out digital eBooks and audiobooks, movies, and even park and museum passes! Learn more about the PLAY CARD and start using yours today!

Family Cookbook Club Tuesday, May 30th, 6:00-7:00pm Athens-Clarke County Library Open to all ages This month, we're making recipes from local cookbooks in the Heritage Room's historical collection! If you didn't make it last month, drop by the Heritage Room any time this month to choose a recipe. Check the Athens-Clarke County Library website for Heritage Room hours. Bring what you've made to our next meeting--or just join in the potluck to celebrate and share our culinary success stories! All ages and kitchen experience levels are welcome. May will kick off our summer Heritage Room partnership, which we'll finish off by publishing our own library community cookbook!

Intro to Teen Philosophy Every Thursday from 4:00-5:00pm Athens-Clarke County Library Open to teens in grades 6-12 Join us for high-quality philosophical discussion led by instructor Rissa Willis and students of the UGA Philosophy Department. This weekly program offers inquisitive minds the chance to develop critical thinking skills. The topic can vary, but we'll always have interesting and fun debates ready!

Craft Café Tuesday, May 9th, 6:00-8:00pm Athens-Clarke County Library Open to all ages! Join us for a cozy evening of crafts at this now-recurring program! We'll have hot tea and cocoa, snacks, and the chance to try your hand at a fun fiber art, including knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, and more! Bring a project you're currently working on, or start something new with the provided materials.
