Cover of Time of the Child by Niall Williams.Time of the Child by Niall Williams

Travel to rainy Faha, an Irish village with close-knit characters. The writing calls to mind Wendell Berry's Port William stories. Both writers lend themselves to being read aloud, if you should have a person who enjoys this great pleasure. Berry and Williams also share a love of the land - another book by Williams and his partner describes their garden in Kiltumper, Ireland. One book leads to another!
