New CE Courses | |
The Bridges Library System recently obtained a subscription to on-demand, online courses through MRA, a non-profit Human Resources association that works with businesses, government, and organizations. These courses are available to all public library staff in our system. You'll find courses in leadership, customer service, technology, and more. Each course takes between 30-60 minutes. You can take them whenever it fits into your schedule. |

TIPS & TRENDS
| Making Videos In Canva | |
You don't need to be Steven Spielberg to make fun, engaging videos!
For social media, fun Instagram Reels can be made in a matter of minutes. I'll share more info in a later issue, but here's a great article to get started. Follow the Milwaukee Public Library to get inspiration, but yours DON'T have to be this fancy. Here's one I did when Angela was unpacking Tshirts. It didn't take long at all!
You can create high-quality videos in Canva or PowerPoint for presentations or training videos. Canva has tons of tutorials to help you out. (Here's an example of a video I made for the CAFE app in Canva.) And here's info on how to record a slide show with narration in PowerPoint, which can be quicker and easier than creating subtitles in YouTube after you upload a Canva presentation. Happy filming!
