April 23-29 is National Library Week!
This annual celebration highlights the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. Join us to celebrate this year's theme: "There's More to the Story."
Our library is full of stories in a variety of formats from picture books to large print, audiobooks to ebooks, Bookflix and Kanopy. But that's not all we do! We lend other items like games, early literacy kits, book club sets, and hot spots. American Fork Library programming brings our community together for entertainment, education, and connection. We offer storytimes, English classes, tutoring, movie nights, craft classes, author visits, writing groups, service clubs, reading challenges, and so much more! Our infrastructure advances the American Fork community as we provide internet and technology access, opportunities to develop literacy skills at any age, and support for businesses, job seekers, and entrepreneurs.
Visit the library during National Library Week and follow us on social media to learn how "There's More to the Story" at American Fork Library!

| Jessa Maxwell |
When production for the tenth season of the hit cooking competition Bake Week begins at the gothic estate of the show's host and founder, celebrity chef Betsy Martin, everything seems normal. The six contestants are eager to prove their culinary talents over the course of five days, while Betsy struggles for control of the show with her new co-host, the brash and unpredictable Archie Morris. But as the baking competition gets under way, things begin to go awry. At first it's merely sabotage-sugar replaced with salt, a burner turned to high-but then someone shows up dead and suddenly everyone's a suspect.

"The library saved my life when I was a mother with small children and a tight budget. I basically raised my children on free activities, free snacks, and free books from the library. Thanks to the library my kids are (mostly) literate and competent and have managed to stay out of jail." |
