Did You Know?


July is a wonderful time to celebrate our nation’s founding by reading history and historical fiction! Here are a few of our library staff’s favorite books that provide interesting perspectives on the American Revolution for all ages:

  • Hamilton: The Revolution by Lin-Manuel Miranda

Come check out these titles and many more from the American Fork Library this July!

We will be closed on July 4 for Independence Day and July 24 for Pioneer Day.


We will open at 12:00 on July 20 after the Steel Days Grand Parade. Be sure to watch for the Library's entry in the parade--We're going on a jungle safari adventure!

Teen STEM Fest

Teens are invited to join us for a fun afternoon of STEM activities including science, computer coding, and more! Must be 12-18 years old to participate. Registration opens July 1 at aflibrary.eventbrite.com

Utah Lake Adventures

July 22 at 1:00 pm

Wind down your summer adventures at the library with the Utah Lake Authority who will teach us about Utah Lake wildlife and share a hands-on activity.

Mental Health Class Series

July 25 at 7:00 pm

We are pleased to have Zest For Life Counseling with us to teach a monthly series of classes on mental health. July's topic is Mindfulness.


Summer Reading Ends July 31

You have until July 31 to complete your Summer Reading activities! If you haven't started yet, you can still pick up Reading Tracking Sheets and Adventure Guides. Prizes will be available until August 10 or while supplies last.


We will hold our annual Summer Reading Celebration: The Adventure Continues on August 2 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Anyone who finished their Reading Tracking Sheet and picked up a ticket to the Celebration is welcome and may bring a guest. You will have exclusive after-hours access to the library, participate in imaginative activities, and receive a special reward. If you are unable to attend the Celebration, you can exchange your ticket for the reward August 3-10.
