Our 2023 Summer Reading Prize is Extra Special!
Thanks to the PARC Grant and Friends of the American Fork Library, we commissioned the creation of a unique book celebrating the 100 th anniversary of the original library built in American Fork and the years since. Anyone who completes the Summer Reading Program will get their own copy of All Together Now at the American Fork Library! This book commemorates the ways our library has built our community over the past century. It represents hours of time, collaboration, research, creativity, and joy as we worked with incredible artists to make this dream come true.
You will learn about the Book Brigade, the reading habits of folks long ago, how the library book drop works (with a bit of creative license!), which animals live close to us, the history of the library’s stained-glass windows, and lots more! Plus, there are creative activities for all ages—design your own book cover, write a comic story, paint a mural, and decorate new businesses in American Fork. You will find mazes, games, puzzles, jokes, and wordplay throughout. We hope you will love this book as much as we enjoyed making it!
It isn’t too late to sign up for the Summer Reading Program! If you read for any 25 days between June 1 and the end of July, you will be invited to our All Together Get-Together on July 28, where you will receive your own copy of this amazing activity book! You can even bring a guest 😀 Just ask for a tracking sheet at any of the library desks or use Beanstack (or the Beanstack app) to track your reading digitally.
