Morning Movie Classics: It Happened on 5th Avenue Join us on Saturday, December 17th at 10:30am in the Hermann meeting room for the 1947 classic movie viewing of It Happened on 5th Avenue! This movie is rated TV-G with a running time of 2 hours. "A vagabond movies into a New York City mansion while the owner is wintering down South and opens the doors to a number of unfortunates, including the vacationer's daughter, whom the squatter mistakes for a down-on-her luck runaway from an abusive father."

Kids Movie Afternoon: Bad Guys Join us on Wednesday, December 28th at 2pm in the Hermann meeting room for the kids movie viewing of The Bad Guys! This movie is rated PG with a running time of 1 hour and 40 minutes. "The infamous Mr. Piranha, Mr. Snake, Mr. Shark, Ms. Tarantula, and Mr. Wolf find their lives of crime coming to an end as they face imprisonment. Determined to retain their freedom, the criminals band together to boost their public image and prove their goodness to their community with the help of their esteemed mentor, Professor Marmalade."

A Place to Breathe In January our wellness sampler classes are with instructors from A Place To Breathe. Each class operates independently so please feel free to register for one or all of them. A Place to Breathe is a registered nonprofit whose mission is to provide caregivers and professionals with a place for respite, tools for self-maintenance, and supportive programs to build resilience, maintain well-being, and continue on the path of helping those with life-challenging illness. The wellness sampler program is sponsored by the Trustees of the Falmouth Public Library.

GraceYoga with Betsy Hopkins Thursday, January 5th from 2pm-3pm in the Hermann meeting room GraceYoga is a practice that moves slowly and deliberately through yoga poses to enhance strength and flexibility. The class is capped at 20. Betsy has been practicing yoga for 12 years and teaching for one, and is a wonderful supporter of A Place to Breathe.

Praying with the Body with Saramaria Allenby Monday, January 9th from 2pm-3pm in the Hermann meeting room Praying with the Body combines optional movement with mindfulness and breathing. Class is capped at 20. Saramaria has been providing this practice in person and online for over four years and is a contributing board member of A Place to Breathe.

Qigong with Paula Reardon Webster Monday, January 23rd from 2pm-3pm in the Hermann meeting room Qigong combines body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and general well-being. Class is capped at 20. Paula Reardon Webster teaches Qigong and is a contributing board member of A Place to Breathe.

Break Thru Breathing with Deb Harrington Monday, January 30th from 2pm-3pm in the Hermann meeting room Break Thru Breathing incorporates karate and simple self defense moves with current breathing techniques. The goal is to bring a sense of calm while working the "issues out of your tissues" and develop muscle memory. Class is capped at 20. Deb is the founder and Executive Director of A Place to Breathe as well as a women's self defense instructor.

Falmouth Together Memory Cafe Join us at the East Falmouth Library Branch on Monday, December 5th from 1pm-3pm for the Falmouth Together Memory Cafe! The Falmouth Together Memory Cafe is a welcoming place for people living with memory concerns and their families or care companions. With guest artists, refreshments and coffee, the Falmouth Together Memory Cafe offers an opportunity to meet other people in the community who are experiencing similar concerns with memory issues.
