In observance of New Year's Day, the Falmouth Public Library and its Branches will be closed on the following days: Sunday, December 31st Monday, January 1st All normal library operating hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd.

Thanks to the Library Support Fund, the Falmouth Public Library has a new series of virtual author talks including bestselling authors coming in 2024! Each month will have at least three live virtual events that you can attend remotely from the comfort of your home – and if you have a time conflict, they are recorded so you can watch later at your leisure.

Friday Films - Barbie Friday, January 12th, 3pm-5pm Hermann Room "Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans." This movie viewing is free to the public and is supported by the Friends of the Falmouth Public Library. Registration is required as seating is limited.

Family Friendly Friday Films - The Little Mermaid Friday, January 19th, 3pm-5:15pm Hermann Room Family Friendly Friday Films are open to all ages, but small children should be accompanied by an adult. "A young mermaid makes a deal with a sea witch to trade her beautiful voice for human legs so she can discover the world above water and impress a prince." This movie viewing is free to the public and is supported by the Friends of the Falmouth Public Library. Registration is required as seating is limited.

Friday Films - A Haunting in Venice Friday, January 26th, 3pm-4:45pm Hermann Room "A Haunting in Venice” is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets." Drop-in anytime between 1:30pm and 3pm for a fun afternoon of playing family friendly games in the Children’s Room.
