The Dinos Are Back!

Leaves are falling and the Books are Calling

November has arrived in the HPL. We have had the return of the Dinos and are expecting a short visit from our friendly Gnomes for a little Gnome-vember vacation! We can't wait for our guests to create some fun as they explore the library and all of our great programs and events! Come and pay them a visit and join us in the Library!

Dino Scavenger Hunt
The Dinos are back in the Library and have left items for our young friends to find! Find them all and collect a fun Dino Eraser!

Cats vs Dogs
Election season has arrived in the Youth Services Department! From Nov. 1- Nov.7, we are inviting our Library Friends to cast their vote to Elect the Best Pet... Cats or Dogs?

Family STEM Program

Sat. Nov. 4 at 10am

Our Special Guests from BuildWave will here on Saturday, Nov. 4 and they will be bringing their favorite Building Challenges with them!

Holiday Plant Sale

Our Winter Bulb Fundraiser has begun! We are partnering again with Flower Power Fundraising and are offering 19 varieties of Amaryllis and PaperWhite Bulb Kits that are a wonderful gift giving idea! All orders place by Dec. 1 will ship in time for Christmas.

Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting

Look for the Friends at the Holiday Stroll! They will be selling Holbrook Library Tote Bags, Holiday themed Books from the Book Alley, and having a small raffle!

Reminder
The Friends Book Alley and Book Alley Annex are restocked weekly so check them out each time you visit the Library! There is always a great find on the shelves.

Book donations of gently used Books and DVDs are gratefully accepted! Please bring them to the Front Desk and please no text books ( medical, legal, etc..). Thanks for donating in support of the Friends!

The Holbrook Library Fund Updates

LOOKING FOR A NEW WAY TO SUPPORT THE LIBRARY?

The Holbrook Library Fund is inviting everyone to email them for information on how to join the Fund as they move forward into the new year! Exciting projects are being considered that will help the Fund achieve their goals of protecting and improving the valuable resource that is the Holbrook Public Library.

News and Announcements

Closures

The Library will be closed on Saturday Nov. 11, 2023 in observance of Veterans' Day.

The Library will be closing at 2:30pm on Wed Nov 22, 2023 and will re-open on Sat Nov 25, 2023 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Our Library of Things is now located in the Study Zone section of the Library. Drop by and check it out!

Our Community Puzzle Swap is our latest collection addition! Located in our Computer Station area, there are a variety of puzzles available to bring home and donations of gently used puzzles are happily accepted.

We are pleased to announce the formation of a Community Resources Permanent Display. Located near the doors to the Lawn entrance, there are brochures, business cards, information and other resource listings for Community Social Service Resources. More to Come!
