Holbrook Library - March 2023
March has arrived at the Holbrook Library to remind us how lucky we are to be part of the Holbrook community!   We are looking forward to the start of Spring and the sunny days ahead. There are several great programs and events scheduled for the month of March, so stop by and check them out!

MamaSteph
Join us at the Holbrook Public Library on Saturday, March 11th beginning at 11AM!
Stephanie Chase is an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter, entertainer, and craftsperson
As Mamasteph, she has a vast and loyal audience throughout the South Shore of Massachusetts. Her performances at area libraries, preschools, daycare centers, and private functions are enjoyable and enlightening for both audiences and the performer.  
Children of all ages welcome with an accompanying parent or caregiver!

One Up Games Presents
Super Smash Bros Tournament
Wednesday, March 25, 4PM
Come join a friendly Super Smash Brothers tournament and win some prizes! Registration is Required.  Ages 12 and up

Handcrafted Holidays and Spice/Tea of the Month Clubs
In March, we will have Grab and Go craft kits to learn about : Holi, Norwuz, St. Patrick's Day, and Ramadan!   Kits will be available while supplies last. Holi on Tues, March 7, St, Patrick's on Thurs, March 16, Norwuz on Sat, March 18, and Ramadan on Tues, March 21
 
On Fri, March 3, Spice of the Month Kits will be available. This month, will be Caraway Seeds.  On Tues, March 14, is Tea of the Month.  We will have Irish Breakfast Tea.
Crafts and Workshops

Senior Socials
Crafts at the Court returns on Friday, March 31st at 12:30pm in the community room at Holbrook Court.  Open to all Seniors, we will spend 2 hours socializing, enjoying coffee and donuts, and making a couple of crafts!
 
Senior Sessions book club also returns in March!  Join us at the Holbrook COA at 10:30am on Friday, March 17. We will be discussing The Darling Dahlias and the Voodoo Lily by Susan Albert Wittig.
 
Beginning Monday, March 1st at 10am, Norwell VNA will be leading an 8 week class.  " A Matter of Balance" is a weekly 2 hour program that helps improve your strength, flexibility, and balance while also reducing your risk of falls.  Currently, this program is at capacity, but we are hoping to offer it again in the near future.

Have you tried our new service, Dial-a-Story, yet?
Each month there are new stories to enjoy.  Call 781-815-5800 at any time and choose an option.  February's stories are available now.  Our new selection of  Stories will be available on March 13th.
