Thu, Feb 15, 2024 -- Winter Gardening- Winter Plant Sowing at 6:15 PM
Thu, 15 Feb 2024 18:15:00 EST
It is never too early or too late to start growing! Join us for a Winter Sowing Workshop on Thursday, February 15 where we will be creating a planter perfect for winter sowing. You bring 2 plastic milk jugs ( with handles) and we will provide the seeds, soil, and instructions! Here’s what you won’t need for winter sowing: special lights, heat mats or fans. This method is a sort of “tough love” approach to seed starting, but it’s really just mimicking the natural process. It saves you money on your power bill too. Open to ages 18+. Space is limited to 20 people. Holbrook Library card holders have an early registration window that ends on 1/31. Any remaining spaces will be available for registration on 2/1.
