Summer Reading Program
Last Days of Summer Reading!
 
Thank you to everyone who came out to our programs in July! We had a great time and we hope you did too!
 
This month, the Richardson Memorial Library will have Make & Take Craft Days on Tuesdays at 10:30am.
 
If you haven't signed up yet but want to participate in Summer Reading, you can still sign up for the program at Richardson this month! Reading logs and book bingo cards will be due August 31st.

All of our resources for students can be found in one place.

It's Back to School month so what better time to remind parents of the great digital resources we offer for kids of all ages! TumbleBooks and Lightbox Learning both offer interactive ebooks for preschool through middle school. Just for Kids offers kid-safe, parent-approved videos on dozens of subjects. We also offer four research databases, and HelpNow, a homework help website where students can access live tutors. ABC Mouse is also available in-library, no library card required!

ABC Mouse for Libraries is a great tool to help kids with school readiness and increase math and literacy skills, and with your library card (or guest pass) you can access it free from one of our library computers! It features more than 10,000 learning activities, 1,000 ebooks, and 850 lessons for children in preschool through 2nd grade (ages 2-8).
  • Activities included: videos, coloring activities, learning games, poems, puzzles, and songs.
  • Subjects covered: reading and writing, math, art, music, social studies, science, and heath.
