Book Review
The Betrothed by Kiera Cass
Review written by Kira, T.A.B member

The Betrothed is the first book of two in a “royally romantic” duology. Hollis Brite is the daughter of two nobles and she has captured the heart of King Jameson. It seems that Hollis returns the feelings and is all too eager to become a queen of Coroa. But then the Eastoffe family from the enemy kingdom, Isolte comes seeking shelter and protection from their wicked king. The eldest son of the family, Silas Eastoffe captures the heart of young Hollis and she is stuck between two lovers, a king and a commoner from an enemy kingdom. All while people are spreading rumors about her closest friend Delia Grace. Does she continue to fake her love for Jameson or flee the royal life for Silas? Read this enchanting tale to find out!

OHMS (DEFTONES)
Review written by Dylan, T.A.B member

CD album cover of OHMS by Deftones. Deftones is one of the greatest alternative metal bands of all time, and their 2020 album, Ohms, is a testament to the angst and darkness that exists within alternative metal. With hits like “Balance,” “Urantia,” and “The Link Is Dead,” this is a must have for fans of alternative metal.
Writer's Corner
Teen Author Spotlight: Eva
We return to Eva, who shares her LEGO Ninjago fan fiction.

Lloyd: Cole, why are you hiding?
Cole: I made Kai mad. Please calm him down.
Lloyd: Nah. *Walks away*

Chen: *Puts on glasses* You wouldn’t hit a guy with glasses, would you?
Kai: *Takes glasses and smacks Chen over the head with them*
Chen: Hit a guy with glasses. Well played.

So…I started in the middle of my other story, if anyone remembers. I have every author's fear. Writer's block! So this is my other story, from the beginning. I will show more next time I do an author spotlight. This story is called. Zombie Apocalypse. (I did this because I don’t have any other good oneshots…)

1 day before the apocalypse
“Are you kidding!? I lost!?” Kai yelped.
“You taught me all your tricks.” Lloyd laughed and kissed his boyfriend on the cheek. The ninja were hanging out. Wu said they deserved a day off, so the ninja were having fun. Jay, Kai, and Lloyd were playing video games. Nya, Cole, and Zane were watching them and talking. Misako and Wu were chatting in the kitchen.
“Alright, Chosen One. Let’s see if you can beat me!” Jay said.
“Aw, I was hoping for a challenge.” Lloyd pouted.
“Woo! Lloyd is on fire!” Cole said.
“Hey, that’s my line!” Kai chuckled. Jay rolled his eyes and picked up a controller. Everyone cheered for Lloyd.
“Aw, come on Nya.” Jay said.
“Sorry, Jay-Bear. I love you! Hope you win.” Nya said. Lloyd giggled and Kai blushed. The two had started dating two weeks ago and Kai would still stare at Lloyd like he was the only person in the world.
“Bring it, Greenie.” Jay said.
“Cheering for you Clover.” Kai said.
“Thanks Fire Ant.” Lloyd said. Cole gagged. Kai and Lloyd rolled their eyes and Jay started the game. Long story short, Lloyd won.
“How!?” Jay cried. Lloyd giggled again. Then sirens blared.
“Aw, man! One day! Just one day where we don’t have to fight.” Cole complained while everyone ran to the front of the Bounty.
“Looks like the problem is right under us!” Nya said.
“What!?” Everyone cried.
“No time to dwell on that. Let’s go!” Cole said.
“Ninja-go!” Everyone did spinjitzu and spun into their colored Gi’s, then leapt off the side, making their elemental dragons.
