Hello South Country Community, Teens, are you thinking about applying to college? The new Brainfuse CollegeNow service can help you with applications, finding financial aid, and preparing for admissions interviews. Use your library card to log on. Families with children, it's no April Fool's joke -- registration for our April in-person programs opens on Monday, April 1! Adults, there are still seats available in our Boating Safety Course. If you were born after January 1, 1978, you must have a boating safety certificate to operate a motorboat in New York. The Library will be closed March 31 for Easter Sunday. Happy Spring to All! ~ South Country Library P.S. Did you know? Most of our collection is fine-free! The only items that accrue overdue fines are "Lucky Day" books, museum passes, Launchpads, video games, and items from our Library of Things. For anything else, don't worry about searching your sofa for change -- just bring the item back when you can :) |

Thanks to all who brought in their old holiday string lights! We collected nearly 100 lbs of faulty lights, which we sold to a regional recycling facility -- the proceeds will go towards future Library of Things items. We also collected 40 lbs of working or near-working lights, which we repaired, repackaged, and donated to local thrift stores.
