Narcan Training Wednesday, May 8, 7:00pm - 8:00pm Join Yvonne Mann from the nonprofit organization Outreach for this Narcan training. Narcan is a medicine that can help people who are overdosing on an opioid. Opioids include prescription medications, heroin, and fentanyl. Everyone attending the presentation will be Narcan trained, given a Narcan kit and a card to use to obtain more kits once they have used the initial kit given at time of training. Storytime at Mama Farm Wednesday, May 8, 10:30am - 11:15am Ages 18 months - 5 years AND an adult. Join us for a very special storytime at Mama Farm (279 South Country Road, Brookhaven, NY 11719). We'll have stories and songs, learn some facts and explore the farm. This is a working farm, so please wear farm-friendly shoes. There is walking involved. Accessible with a sturdy stroller. Please be prepared if your child has bee or other outdoor allergies.

Juneteenth Poster Contest!
Students are invited to submit original, creative posters illustrating the power of unity and the history of Juneteenth. Students from grades K through 12 are invited to participate. Students should submit their posters in person to the Reference Desk at the South Country Library by May 13! 3 hours of community service for completing and turning in a poster on time. Winners will be congratulated at South Country Library's Juneteenth event on Thursday, June 13 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

SMART Recovery® Tuesdays, 7:00pm - 8:00pm Final Meetings: April 30, May 7, May 14 A self-empowering, abstinence-based support group for anyone recovering from addiction and addictive behaviors (alcoholism, drug abuse/addiction, gambling addiction, etc.). Sign Up to be a Literacy Volunteer Are you interested in helping an English speaker learn to read and write? The Library is looking for volunteers with instructional experience. The Library has a Notary Public Typically available Monday through Friday (subject to change). Fee: $2.00 per notarized signature We are not able to notarize wills, mortgages, or sales of property. All documents must be in English. You must have a valid New York State driver’s license or identification card. You may use a valid United States passport but must also have proof of residence that shows your current address. No post office boxes.

Passport Services by Appointment We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports.
