Hello South Country Community! Here's what's coming up from the library: Teens, check out the upcoming crafts and games, and this month's Teen Book Club pick. For adults, we have art, genealogy, exercise, and the return of Savvy Sightseer's Virtual Vacation. And families with children, make sure you don't miss all of the winter and holiday craft kits, plus the usual weekly crafts and virtual events you've come to enjoy. Happy December and Happy Hanukkah. Our Give or Take Food Pantry is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.

We have a bin in the lobby where you can donate non-perishable food to help keep the pantry stocked. Thank you for your generosity!

Annual Winter Warmth Collection Now through December 14
|
|

Please donate new socks, slippers, hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens in any size to the Children's Department. The Bellport Hagerman East Patchogue Alliance will distribute them to local families in need.

Gingerbread House Pick-up Thursday, December 10 through Saturday, December 12 Pick up your Gingerbread House Kit anytime on these three days. Available for those who have already preregistered to receive a kit.

Elf on the Shelf Contest Twinkle the Elf has returned to the Children's Department!

If your child can find Twinkle, tell us at the Children's Desk and your child will be entered in our raffle. One entry per child per day. Winner will be announced in early January. * * * * * * * Make A Friend for the Elf-on-a-Shelf! Now through December 23 Twinkle needs some elf friends! Pick up an elf sheet, decorate it, and name your elf. You can return it to the library or email a picture of it to childrens@sctylib.org and we'll put it in the Children's Department.
