Reserve a MA State Parks (DCR) or Lane Beach Parking Pass Today! Tufts Library has you covered with free parking! Nantasket Beach: Parking fees are now in effect at Massachusetts State Parks and beaches, including Nantasket Beach. Keep in mind that parking is first come, first served, and a pass does not guarantee a parking space on any given date. Check out this list of Massachusetts state Parks for a full listing of DCR locations and this link for a list of fees for each facility. George Lane Beach: Pass entitles holder to free parking in the general lot. Additional charge for boat access. Parking is first come, first serve and the pass does not guarantee a parking space. A parking permit at Lane Beach is required from May 30 to October 10.

Pop Up Art: Watercolor Monday, July 17th, 6:30-8:00 PM Grades 7-12 only Discover the beauty of watercolor paints! Pop up Art School will show you how to mix colors like a pro and you'll learn tips and tricks for creating colorful flowers and leaves. The class begins with confidence building drills so you can practice brush and water control before you make your finished floral painting. You'll leave the class with a finished painting and the confidence and knowledge to use watercolor paints on your own! Made possible thanks to a grant from the Weymouth Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Growing Stories: Story Time with the Weymouth Food Pantry Wednesday, July 5th, 9:30-11:00 AM Join us in the Weymouth Food Pantry Garden in Columbian Square for an outdoor story adventure time in partnership with Tufts Library. Afterwards, in a themed garden activity we will plant seeds in a take home peat pot. Enjoy the garden, foster a love of books and the wonder of nature in a 'grow your own' adventure. In the event of rain, we will meet on the lower level of the Fogg Library.

And what better way to discover these concepts than through hands-on experiences with a whole zoo of exotic invertebrates? Professor Bugman will introduce you to some real arthropods. Family Drum Circle & Rhythm Session with Mike Leo Wednesday, July 26th, 2:30-4:00 PM Families will interact with many different types of instruments, participating in Rhythm and drumming games and activities followed by a bit of open drumming. After a quick break, we will apply everything we learned and become part of the Rhythm Section for an interactive live concert including lots of well-known sing-along songs and high energy music. It's a place where everyone becomes both audience and performer.
