Zoo New England Passes Now that Spring is here, why not take the family to Zoo New England? Weymouth residents with OCLN cards may reserve a discount pass coupon for the zoo here. The pass admits 6 people to the Franklin Park Zoo located in Dorchester or the Stone Zoo in Stoneham at $9/adult and $6/children (2-18 yrs) and is provided thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Weymouth Libraries. Additional passes will be offered for April school vacation (April 15-23). They will be released a week before and during the vacation, so be sure to check back then if you missed out on the regular pass.

Concert with Dave McLellan with Celeste McClain Saturday, April 15th, 3:00 - 4:00 PM The Boston Classical Guitar Society Presents Dave McLellan with Celeste McClain. A concert and collaborative chamber music guitarist since 1976, Dave McLellan has performed throughout the U.S., South America, Great Britain, and Europe. He has appeared in major concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and Wigmore Hall (London). Music Minus One recording artist, NEA grant recipient, Concerts Atlantique competition winner, Mr. McLellan has collaborated with Neil Anderson (Anderson-McLellan Guitar Duo), Frank Wallace, Edward Flower, Peter Clemente, Tracy Kraus (Worcester Chamber Music Society), sopranos Rebecca Grimes and Rebekah Alexander, mezzo Emily Marvosh, and many more. A former faculty member of The Hartt School and the University of Connecticut. Founder of Concert In Your Living Room, providing fund-raising assistance to non-profit organizations. Movie and Discussion of Documentary "Forks Over Knives" Saturday, April 8th, 2:00 - 4:00 PM Multipurpose Room 138 The film that started it all! Join us for a screening of Forks Over Knives, the 2011 documentary about a whole-food, plant-based diet, and its health benefits. The film examines the profound claim that most "diseases of affluence" that afflict us can be controlled; or even reversed; by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods. Members and guests of Rooted in the South Shore, a community group affiliated with the PlantPure Network, will provide information about a whole-food, plant-based diet, as well as sample snacks and their recipes. Related Tufts Library books will be available to browse and check out to take home with you.
