Weymouth Art Association Demo Betty Greene Needle Felting Saturday, May 21st, 2:00 - 4:00 PM Multipurpose Room 138, Tufts Library Join the Weymouth Art Association for this combination demonstration and hands-on workshop. Participants will be able to learn the basics of how to Needle Felt. In 2014 Betty discovered moth holes in a felted wool rug, so she bought some pieces of felt fabric to makes repairs and the rest is history!

Banner Park Informational Meeting Monday, May 23rd, 6:30 PM Room 138, Tufts Library The Town is hosting this community informational meeting to convey their concerns about the project and to bring attendees up to date on the town's efforts to assess and mitigate the impacts of the proposed Banner Park Campus. Green International Affiliates, the independent engineering firm the Town engaged to conduct a peer review, will be in attendance. In addition, the Town has asked the developers of Banner Park to come to the meeting, make a presentation and answer any and all questions. Neighborhood Meeting: Proposed Redevelopment of 261 Pleasant Street Tuesday, May 24th, 6:00 PM Humanities Center, Weymouth High School, 1 Wildcat Way Ryder Development will make a full presentation to neighbors of 261 Pleasant Street to discuss the proposal to redevelop the subject property (96,268 SF lot) containing an older two-story wood frame church rectory, garage and church parking lot. The proposal includes the rehabilitation and reuse of the rectory building and the construction of 15 new single family homes. This project will require a Public Open Space District Special Permit from the Board of Zoning Appeals. There will be an open Q&A and Town staff from the Department of Planning and Community Development will be in attendance.

Midshipman Elmer C. Donelly Memorial Dedication Ceremony Saturday, May 28th, 10:00 AM King Hill Oak Park, 0 Emery Lane, Weymouth Midshipman Elmer C. Donnelly was awarded the United States Merchant Marine Distinguished Service Medal during WWII. This is the highest recognition for bravery awarded by the Merchant Marine.
