Meet the Author Virginia Pye Tuesday, January 9th, 7:00-8:00 PM Tufts Library, Meeting Room 138 Join Viriginia Pye as she talks about her newest novel, The Literary Undoing of Victoria Swann. A prolific writer, Virginia’s essays have appeared in The New York Times, Literary Hub, Publisher’s Weekly, Huffington Post, as well as in numerous literary magazines. A graduate of Wesleyan University, she holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and has taught writing at New York University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Induction cooktops are the next generation of electric stovetops. Sheryl Faye Presents Historical Women: Clara Barton Saturday, January 27th, 2:00-3:00 PM Tufts Library, Meeting Room 138 Sheryl Faye presents Clara Barton – Civil War Nurse and Red Cross Founder From the time she was old enough to be a nurse within her own family, Clara’s life was dedicated to helping others. She raised warehouses full of food, medicine and clothing during the Civil War, and then courageously went to the front to nurse the wounded and dying. Finally, she started the American Red Cross which is her legacy today. A Massachusetts native, Clara Barton spent her early years here and is buried in the her family cemetery plot in Oxford, Massachusetts.

Boston Classical Guitar Society Concert Catherine O'Kelly Saturday, January 13th, 3:00-4:00 PM Tufts Library, Meeting Room 138 Classical guitarist Catherine O’Kelly performs both as a soloist and as a member of Tedesco Duo with flutist Arielle Burke. A former Suzuki student at The Rivers School Conservatory, she is delighted to now be teaching Suzuki guitar at Rivers. She frequently collaborates with other local musicians and groups such as Boston’s Cantata Singers, and she serves on the board of the Boston Classical Guitar Society.
