Friends of the Library Membership Drive
The 2023 membership drive continues for the month of December. This is for new and current members. We need everyone's support to reach our goal of 400 members for 2023. As a Friend, your membership helps contribute to library programs and museum passes the Friends organization supports. Membership costs just $15 for an individual and $25 for a family and is tax deductible. Contributions to the Friends are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.

Tote Bag SaleThrough December 23rd Totes will be $15 and can be filled with $10 worth of books (adult, teen, children's or CDs and DVDs) or a $10 gift certificate to use at a later date.

Weymouth Health Department Blood Pressure Clinic Wednesday, December 14th & 28th 11:30 AM -12:30 PM Room 133, Tufts Library Get your blood pressure under control with our friends at the Weymouth Health Department! They'll be here on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month to check your blood pressure for free!

Weymouth Art Demonstration Saturday, December 17th, 2:00 - 4:00 PM Tufts Library, Room 138 Art Demonstration by John Marshall Dyke who will demonstrate watercolor painting. Public welcome. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Weymouth Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council a state agency.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance ProgramThe Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps keep families safe and healthy through initiatives that assist families with energy costs. LIHEAP provides federally funded assistance to reduce the costs associated with home energy bills, energy crises, weatherization, and minor energy-related home repairs. LIHEAP can help you stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer through programs that reduce the risk of health and safety problems that arise from unsafe heating and cooling situations and practices.

Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund Now in its 38th year, the Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund has provided energy assistance to hundreds-of-thousands of residents in temporary crisis who are struggling to pay their energy bills and do not qualify for federal or state energy funds.
