The Norwell High School Jazz Combo is a small group of students who have been involved in the jazz program for multiple years. The Combo is modeled on small jazz groups from the 1940s-1960s, and it performs mostly jazz standards from that era.

The Tooth Fairy visits the library to share a special storytime all about...teeth! Listen to fun stories about teeth and learn about brushing and what happens at the dentist. Presented by Claire Reilly of Dentistry for Children, South Weymouth. This storytime is suitable for all ages with caregiver, including babies and toddlers who are new to dental care. This month's take and make is a Heart Wreath. Those who register will have their craft kits put to the side for pick up at the circulation desk. This craft is intended for Teens. Adults and Children are welcome to sign up, but children will need assistance in assembly. Pick up your kit at the main circulation desk starting February 12 to February 17th.


If you will not be able to make the pick up window, please call the front desk to allow others the chance to receive the craft!

Mindful Yoga for Everyone

Mindfulness practices based on the 7 attitudes from Jon Kabat-Zinn are woven throughout the class to facilitate the connection of the mind, breath, body, and spirit. All levels are welcome, with a focus on beginners and advanced beginners. 

All you need is an open mind, yoga mat, and a towel or blanket (to roll for support as needed), and water.

For the past several years, Aime Alley Card has been researching, interviewing, and writing about the Tennessee State Tigerbelles and recently published The Tigerbelles: Olympic Legends from Tennessee State. For this book, she conducted and reviewed hundreds of hours of interviews and read just as many books and articles, ranging from concurrent to retrospective.
