NPL staff are now Dementia Friends! A huge thank you to Susan Curtin of the Norwell COA for offering this workshop to our library staff.
The Norwell Recycling and Sustainability Committee has initiated a project to recycle crayons in partnership with The Crayon Initiative, a non-profit that collects used crayons, melts them down and remanufactures them into new crayons. To learn more about the Crayon Initiative, click here.
Collection boxes are located at the Grace Farrar Cole School, the William G. Vinal School, the New Nursery School, the First Parish PreSchool, the Ridge Hill School, the Nature Center PreSchool at the South Shore Science Center, Bright Horizons, and The Norwell Public Library.

Kelly Brotzman, Managing Director of the Prison Book Program in Quincy, will talk about access to books and information for people in prison, the role books play in incarcerated people’s lives, and the work her nonprofit does to support incarcerated people’s right to read.
Spring Musical Expedition with David Won and Timothy Steele

The library is hosting a wonderful concert featuring local professional recitalist and concert tenor singer, David S. Won and professional vocal coach and pianist, Timothy Steele.
SELA: The International Private School, in both Norwell and Hingham, will host an exhibit with pieces from their Early Global Education and Elementary School Exhibition. The pieces shown in this exhibit will include pieces from each grade level and showcase a progression of students’ work across various subjects and curricular themes.
