End of Summer Reading Mini Golf! 

Friday, August 9

12:00 - 3:00pm

Join One Up Games on Friday, August 9th at 12:00pm as they take over the Norwell Public Library with a full 9 hole LED mini golf set! Players will be able to play all holes throughout the event. Fun for all ages!

Ages 0-5 are welcome to join Marissa for 30 minutes of stories, participatory songs, and fingerplays that support early literacy. Registration is required. Please sign up for each week you are interested in attending. No meeting August 26 or 28.

Vegetable Printed Bags

Monday, August 5

3:30 - 4:30pm

Be environmentally friendly by decorating your own reusable tote bag, perfect for carrying your library books! We'll use vegetables to print different shapes on our bag. Ages 7 and up, caregiver to remain in library. We will be using acrylic paint which does not wash off, so please dress for mess. Registration required.

What can you make with recycled materials? Drop in weekly to this open-ended craft program and use your imagination! We'll have all sorts of recycled material, and you're welcome to bring your own. Dress for mess just in case. For children ages 6 and up.

Coloring Lab: Dog Days of Summer

10:30am - 4:30pm daily

Drop in to the Children's Studio to cool off and color! In honor of the end of summer, we'll have lots of coloring pages of dogs to represent the "Dog Days" of summer. No registration required, caregivers are to remain with children.

Qi Gong - Tai Chi

Tuesdays at 11:00am

Tai chi has been proven through medical studies to benefit the body in many tangible ways. The slow graceful movements help reduce the risk of falling & ease arthritic joint pain. 


Ongoing classes will be held on Tuesday mornings from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon in NPL’s Meeting Room.


Beginners of all ages & abilities are welcome. Wear loose comfortable clothing.

History of The North and South Rivers and the NSRWA

Tuesday, August 27
6:30 - 7:30pm 

The North River is the first Scenic Protected River in Massachusetts and the North and South Rivers were designated a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service.


This presentation is an overview of the natural events that lead to what the rivers are today. It includes a brief history of the shipbuilding industry from the mid 1600’s to the mid 1800’s. This presentation is put on by the North and South Rivers Watershed Association.

NPL Evening Book Group: My Sister's Grave

This month we will be reading My Sister's Grave by Robert Dugoni. 


Tracy Crosswhite has spent twenty years questioning the facts surrounding her sister Sarah’s disappearance and the murder trial that followed. Tracy became a homicide detective with the Seattle PD and dedicated her life to tracking down killers.
