Bottlenose Dolphin Anatomy

With a life-sized, anatomically correct bottlenose dolphin model, students will learn about marine mammalogy. Through hands-on activities, students will learn about the dolphin’s internal & external anatomy – focusing on adaptations for survival. For students ages 8 to 12. Registration required.

Drop in to the Children's Studio to cool off and color! In honor of the end of summer, we'll have lots of coloring pages of dogs to represent the "Dog Days" of summer. No registration required, caregivers are to remain with children.

Welcome Mandy Roberge from Wicked Good Henna Studios to the Norwell Public Library. Stop by from 12 noon until 2pm to receive a henna design done by Mandy herself! This program is drop in, we will have coloring and a puzzle available for people to work on while they wait.

This month's take and make is a hanging Wisteria Craft. This craft is intended for Teens and Adults, children are welcome to sign up but will need assistance in assembly. The Norwell Public Library is excited to host the South of Boston Board Game Meetup on Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The group began as an inclusive community of board gamers in the South Shore area and beyond!


Bring a game to swap with other attendees. This free event is open to junior high aged teens and adults of all ages. No registration required.

Mindful Yoga for Everyone

Mindfulness practices based on the 7 attitudes from Jon Kabat-Zinn are woven throughout the class to facilitate the connection of the mind, breath, body, and spirit. All levels are welcome, with a focus on beginners and advanced beginners. 

All you need is an open mind, yoga mat, and a towel or blanket (to roll for support as needed), and water.

Cowley will discuss how and why she became an FBI profiler, what profiling is (and isn’t), and some of the most memorable cases in her career. This month we will be reading Salt Houses by Hala Alyan.


Salt Houses tells the story of four generations of a Palestinian family, the Yacoubs, who originally lived in a villa in Jaffa on the Mediterranean seashore until the 1967 Six-Day War forced them inland to Nablus as refugees.
