New Carpeting! New Layout! New Displays! A lot has changed since we have seen you last. We hope you can come inside the main library or to one of our open branches to see what's new. Our To-Go Services have been discontinued as in-person browsing, checkout, self-checkout, holds pickup and computer use resume inside our Main Library, Adams Shore and Wollaston libraries. The Main Library hours are now: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Wollaston and Adams Shore Branches are currently open: Monday-Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Website Got a Makeover Too! Check out the new thomascranelibrary.org and be wowed by our new online look. And it's not just window dressing: we think you'll find it much easier to browse our online library, view our events calendar, and find out more about all of our services. Better yet, you can do things like book a study or conference room entirely online.

Public Computers Access your email or browse the internet with 2 hours of computer-use on our public computers. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building!

Wollaston Scavenger HuntWednesday, August 4, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Off-Site Travel all around Wollaston discovering old and new sites on this socially distanced scavenger hunt! Can you solve the cipher buried within your clues? Instructions will be posted on our Teen Instagram account (@teensattcpl) and on Beanstack at 9 a.m. You will have until 9 p.m. to enter the decoded cipher into our Beanstack activity tracker.

Join us for a fun virtual game of pop culture in our monthly Kahoot quiz bowl! Compete with your classmates to be the winner. The player with the most points will receive an additional raffle ticket good for entry into any of our Teen summer reading raffles.

Thursday, August 12, 6-7:30 p.m. Main Library Lawn Rogue U.S. spy, G. McFly wants out of the spy game. McFly shared top secret info to undermine the head of the FBI, J. Edgar Hoover. Can you help us find where he is hiding before he compromises the whole U.S. spy program? Teens are welcome to hangout and play lawn games while waiting their turn.

Friday, August 13, 2:00-4:00 p.m. Main Library Lawn We have been apart for a long year and a half! Reunite with us at the Main Library to play socially distant lawn games like Giant Jenga, Ring Toss, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Limbo. Teens are welcome to play or to come and just enjoy the fresh air.

Online - Zoom Test out your vocal skills in our local teen karaoke event. Whether you're performing in the next school musical or just enjoy singing along to the radio with friends, here is your chance to stretch out those vocal cords! This event is online so feel free to sing with your camera on or off.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED Registration begins Monday, August 2, 9:00 a.m. Online New and experienced players are invited to join us for this introduction to D&D 5th edition game play. Take on the role of a fantasy hero in this Dungeons & Dragons game. We will meet for an hour and a half at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 17th on Zoom to play this story.

Main Library Lawn Join us outside on the main library lawn for a fun filled magic show full of audience participation. Inspired by Albus Dumbledore, “Ed” decided to become “Ed the Wizard.” Using his own collection of magic books and visiting his local library, Ed began to teach himself the art of prestidigitation. Today, Ed will show us what he’s learned in this lively magic show.

Sing and dance with Miss Rubi Lichauco outside on the Main Library Lawn! This popular preschool program is good for ages 0-4 but everyone is welcome to join in the lively mix of music and movement.

Main Library Lawn Through Me To You Puppetry invites you to join Newton and his puppet friends for some storytime fun! At the end of Newton and his friends taking turns reading stories and singing songs, the kids are invited to say "hi." This half-hour outdoor event is good for ages 3-7, but all are welcome.
