What's New at the Library

Poetry Contest April is Poetry Month and the Eden Library is going to be holding a Poetry Contest. Enter your poem into our Poetry Contest for a chance to win a prize and share your work with the community. All contest entries will be displayed on the walls of the library hall or in the Fieldcrest Room once they've been submitted. There will be three entry groups for the contest, Children (12 and under), Teens (13-18), and Adults (19 and up). To be judged for the contest, poems must be submitted by Monday April 22nd. The winners of the contest and anyone who submits an entry will get a chance to read their poetry on Thursday April 25th at the Library's Poetry Event at 5:30 p.m.

Family Station Thanks to funds provided by the State Library of North Carolina, the library was able to purchase a Family Station. The purpose of the Family Station is to allow adults to use the public computer while their little one is safe and secure in the attached play area. The play area contains board books and interactive wall panels.

Other New Items The library was also able to purchase bean bag chairs for the Children's Room and Teen Section, a sensory bubble tube for the Teen area, and stools for the 20 minute computer stations and the catalog computer in the Teen area.
