Library Clue

Drop in to the Trenton Branch from May 2-31 to play a game of Clue throughout the library. Solve the mystery and get entered into a draw for a prize basket. All ages.

Star Wars Party Kit

Celebrate "May the 4th be with you" by picking up a Star Wars Party kit! Kits will include materials and ideas to hold a Star Wars themed party.

Kits will be available at both locations starting April 28th.

Mock Elections

Drop in to Trenton or Frankford between May 16th and June 2nd to participate in our Mock Election. Children will learn about the election process by casting their votes for either Cats or Dogs!

Kids Programs

Preschool Storytime

Children and their caregivers are invited to join us in person Wednesdays from 10-10:45 for stories, rhymes and music, followed by an activity.

Recommended for ages

2 to 5 years.

May 4, 11, 18, 25 in Trenton

Babytime

Babies and their caregivers are invited to join us in person Fridays from 10-10:30 for tickles, bounces, shakers and board books.

Recommended for ages

birth to 2 years.

May 6, 13, 20, 27 in Trenton

After School Activities
Drop in for a fun new activity each week. The program will be held at Frankford on Wednesdays and in Trenton on Thursdays from 4-5pm. These programs will be more in depth and challenging than the Imagination Stations, and are therefore recommended for ages 7+.

Imagination Stations

Every week we'll have a different activity out in the children's area. Drop in to our Trenton Branch weekdays from 3pm until closing and all day Saturday. These activities will also be offered in Frankford on Saturdays from 10am-3pm.

Teen Programs

Teen Book Club

Pick up a free book that's yours to keep! Read it and join us for a discussion on May 25th @ 4pm. Ages 13+. Email vanessa.pritchard@quintewest.ca for more information.

Teen Rock Cactus

Come paint a mini rock cactus garden. No green thumb needed to keep these plants alive! Drop in to the Trenton Branch on Monday May 2nd at 4:30pm. Ages 13+.

Adult Programs

Mini Barn Quilt

Join us to create a mini barn quilt! Monday May 16th at 5:30pm at the Trenton Branch. To register email kristar@quintewest.ca.

Death Cafe

Join us to drink tea, eat cake and discuss how acknowledging mortality

Get out and get social!

Get out of the house and engage in a fun activity safely with others! Social group is in partnership with BQWCHC.

May 9th and 25th 10:30-12.

Open to everyone. Registration required.

Wellness Expo

Find us at the Wellness Expo happening at City Hall on May 7th from 10-4. Library staff will give a presentation at 10am on how books can provide support and guidance in your life, and we'll teach you how to make a gratitude journal at 2:45pm. Also, don't forget to create a Kandisky style block to add to our collaborative art project and have fun with the games set up in the library.

Additional sessions from community partners will be happening throughout the day.
