Coming Monday, October 4... Patrons will soon experience a new look for the Library catalog. A new Google-like search called a discovery layer is being added and will search all Library resources and services for easier navigation and access to more collections. Within the new BlackGold homepage, patrons will soon be able to swipe through categories such as movies, available e-books, non-fiction, and much more! The new drop-down menu will give patrons quick access to our Library resources.

Book Club Kits for Adults & Youth In honor of National Reading Group Month check out a Book Club Kit from the Library. Kits are available for adults and youth, they include multiple copies for a group to read, and engaging questions to start the conversation. New titles are being added, check the website for updates. Santa Barbara County Youth Laureate Teens ages 13-18 now have the opportunity to use their words to actively work for the betterment of their community. The newly established Santa Barbara County Youth Poet Laureate program is amplifying voices of youth poets by joining a nationwide celebration of the voices of our youth by establishing a Youth Poet Laureate program. Students throughout the county are eligible to apply for this stipend position. As Laureates, teens have the opportunity to publish both locally and nationally.
