Dear Bristol Borough Community and Grundy Patrons,
The Grundy Library is incredibly grateful for your ongoing support and patronage while our building is closed. While we understand that you are anxious for the library to reopen, due to circumstances beyond our control the Grundy Library building remains closed to the public. Our reopening date is undetermined at this time.
As you are aware, the improvements on the Library building and grounds came to an abrupt halt last year with the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. Once the work could resume, significant progress was made on the overall construction project and the work continues to this day, but we have struggled with several challenges including weather-related setbacks, difficulty obtaining building materials, vendor issues due to low staffing, and other residual effects of the pandemic. These have all contributed to severe delays in project completion.
While we know that you, like Library staff, are disappointed by the further postponement of the Library’s reopening, we are confident the project results will be worth the wait. Though the construction prevents us from opening the building and limits our ability to host outdoor programs, we hope to see and talk with you at upcoming community events in the upcoming months.
Explore Tails & Tales with Beanstack this summer! Log the minutes you read to earn badges and rewards! Summer Quest is open to all ages, from preschool to adult. Paper reading logs are available too. Find out more on the Summer Quest page. Have a question? Please call the Grundy Library at 215.788.7891 for assistance.

Grundy Museum: Takeout Tea
Save the Date: September 18
Save the date!! September is around the corner and the Grundy Museum is proud to announce that we will be offering our second Takeout Tea on Saturday, September 18, 2021. A seasonal tea will be available for curbside pickup. Details on ordering, the menu and our partners will be announced on the Grundy Museum website and through our social media pages. Sales of the Grundy Museum Takeout Tea will be made through TicketLeap.
Proceeds and donations support the Grundy Foundation CanDoMore Campaign 4. The goal of the campaign is to raise $30,000 in support of both the Museum and Library. With these funds, the Museum will pursue conservation of Grundy family clothing from our collections, creation of clothing reproductions and the acquisition of exhibit materials and supplies needed to display these selected items. In addition, campaign funds will allow the Library to further its investment in STEM technologies and education through the addition of a high-end 3D printer, scanner, and a mobile classroom with Chromebooks to expand outreach and STEM education in the community.
We are incredibly thankful for your support of our fundraising efforts and for the continued generosity of our donors.
Mark your calendars for this year's Takeout Tea on September 18 and stay tuned for how to place your order. We are excited to share the details soon as you’ll be delighted by what’s in store.
